Friday Deadline for Short-term Laurium Council Seat

Laurium residents interested in joining the village council should apply this week.

The opening on the council occurred when Glenn Johnson resigned last month. His term is scheduled to end in November.

The application deadline for filling the unexpired term is Friday afternoon at 5:00. Letters of interest may be addressed to: Village Clerk’s Office, PO Box 627, Laurium MI 49913-0627. They may also be dropped off in person at the village hall.

Candidates who might also wish to run for the full term in November would need to file for that by July 26th.
