Carol J. Jampsa, 84, a resident of Calumet, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Green Tree in Hubbell following a short illness.
Carol was born on January 18, 1938, in Lake Linden, the daughter of the late Wilford and Bernadette (Baillargeon) Fountain. She resided in Laurium and worked for John’s restaurant as a cook for many years. It was there she met Edward “Mike” Jampsa and they couple united in marriage on June 3, 1984. Carol and Mike resided on the family farm in Atlantic Mine for many years before moving to Calumet.
Carol loved to cook, crochet, and knit. She also enjoyed picnicking in her younger years. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran in Atlantic Mine and later began attending Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet.
Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband: Frank Grisolono
Her sisters; Theresa, Mary, JoAnn, and Susie
Her stepsons; Steven and Kerry Jampsa
She is survived by her husband: Mike Jampsa
Her children: Rodney (Michelle) Grisolono

Her grandchildren; Christina, Jamie, Nathan, Angela, Robert Jr., Patrick, and Clarissa.
Her great-grandchildren; Robert III, Savas, Bridger, Cabri, Davis, Leeyah, Arthur, Jacob, Elianah, Lysette, Malachi, and Delilah.
Carol is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services for Carol will be held 11am, Monday, July 25 in the Atlantic Mine Cemetery with Rev. Jared Howard to officiate.
