Hill Falters, as Tigers’ Win Streak Ends – Sunday Sports Wrap

The Tigers’ six-game winning streak crashed to an end Saturday, with an 8-0 loss to the White Sox. Rookie pitcher Garrett Hill, whose debut Monday had been so impressive, gave up six runs over the first two innings. He settled down, and pitched through the fifth.

The Tigers visit the Sox again this afternoon. Drew Hutchison will pitch against Michael Kopech. Coverage will begin at 1:50 on 99.3 The Lift. 

The Brewers built an early lead, but lost to the Pirates 4-3 Saturday. Brandon Woodruff tossed five shutout innings, but left as Pittsburgh scored four times off him and Brad Boxberger in the sixth. Luis Urías homered for Milwaukee.

The Brewers host the Pirates again this afternoon. Eric Lauer will pitch against José Quintana.

Guts Frisbee

The 64th annual Coca Cola International Frisbee Tournament continues today at the Driving Park. The public is invited to watch the action. The championship match is scheduled to begin late this afternoon.
