Mobile Food Pantry Returns to Ontonagon Today

The Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Pantry returns to Ontonagon today.

The Pantry will open at noon at the village fire hall. Organizers say they’ll have food, including fresh fruits and vegetables, for around 300 families. Distribution will take place in a drive-through format, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants do not need to provide proof of income, but will be asked for contact information, and for a statement that they actually need the assistance.

The pantry is underwritten by the Portage Health Foundation, which also plans to fund visits to Ontonagon September 7th and December 15th.
