Two Local Schools Receive Great Lakes-Based Grants

Two local school districts will receive state money to develop Great Lakes-based science, technology, engineering and math programs. 

The Arvon Township School will get $5,000 to support students’ adoption of two beaches in the township. Lessons and activities will be developed, in partnership with the Alliance for the Great Lakes.

The E.B. Holman School will receive $5,000 to train new teachers to carry out future Lake Superior Stewardship Initiative activities, and to support the Stanton Township Schools’ gardens.
