In Copper Country Slow Pitch Softball League play this evening…
• At Miller Memorial Field in Laurium, Koppers faces Downtowner Two at 6:15, and then plays Auto Pro/Thermoanalytics at 7:30.
• At the Hancock Driving Park, Pat’s Foods/Bucko’s plays Sayen’s Auto/Coca Cola at 6:15. Amy J’s Pasty and Bake Shop meets A and S Industrial/Loukus Tech at 7:30.

NHL

In the NHL playoffs, Ondřej Palát’s goal in the final minute gave the Lightning a 3-2 victory over the Rangers last night. New York leads the Eastern Conference final 2-1.

The Western Conference final continues tonight, as the Oilers host the Avalanche. Colorado leads that series 3-0.

NBA

The Warriors shut down the Celtics 107-88 last night. The NBA championship series is tied 1-1, and continues Wednesday in Boston.

MLB

Josh Donaldson’s sacrifice fly off Gregory Soto in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Yankees to a 5-4 victory over the Tigers yesterday. Rony García turned in a good start, giving up two runs over five innings. Miguel Cabrera had three hits.

The Tigers have today off, and begin a two-game set at Pittsburgh tomorrow. Tarik Skubal will pitch against José Quintana. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Jeimer Candelario left yesterday’s game in the second inning, after injuring his shoulder on a defensive play. He’ll be evaluated today.

Jake Cronenworth’s three-run homer off Trevor Gott in the top of the 10th inning lifted the Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers yesterday.

The Brewers have today off, and host the Phillies tomorrow night. Jason Alexander will start against Ranger Suarez.
