A Hubbell man facing second-degree murder and attempted murder charges is going to trial.
Paul Moilanen, 42, will face a jury of his peers during a trial starting June 15th in Houghton County Circuit Court. Moilanen is accused of stabbing 48-year-old Marcy LaVigne and her teenage daughter in September at the LaVigne’s Hubbell residence. Marcy LaVigne died of her injuries, but her daughter survived.
Moilanen could receive a life sentence if convicted.
