Houghton City Voting Precinct Boundary Changes

The City of Houghton has changed its voting precinct boundary.

The adjustment was required after redistricting reassigned some city residents to a different county board of commissioners district.

The precinct boundary change mostly affects voters in West Houghton between Bridge Street and M-26 and voters along West Lakeshore Drive. Those residents will now cast their ballots at Dee Stadium.

Houghton City Clerk Ann Vollrath says new Voter ID cards are being mailed to all the affected voters.

If you do not receive a Voter ID card in the mail showing this change, you were likely not affected by the change. If you have any questions, contact the City Center.
