The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country has posted its guide to Tuesday’s elections.
The website includes information about the three candidates running for the one available Houghton city council seat, along with other local issues, including:
• The proposal in the Village of Calumet asking if the village treasurer should be elected or appointed,
• The renewal of a 1.75-mill property tax levy in the Village of Lake Linden for police and fire services,
• A request for a 1.75-mill property tax levy for a sinking fund for the NICE School District, which will be on the Spurr Township ballot.
