April 22nd, 1970 marked the planets first Earth Day. Now over 50 years later Americans everywhere celebrate the planet, often doing a little extra recycling around this time. This Friday, Koppers Performance Chemicals is taking the community’s old electronics and mix paper products, to be recycled. That includes old computers, phones, printers, cardboard, junk mail and old newspapers. The c Copper Country Recycling Initiative is looking for volunteers to help in two hour shifts for the event. The community can stop by Koppers in Hubbell from 8 am to 8 pm this Friday.
