South Range hosting Valentine’s Dance

Cupid will have to restock his quiver. Valentine’s Day is coming to South Range on the 19th thanks to the village’s Fourth of July Committee. It’s hosting a dance at the VFW Hall, filled with music from the Slick Nickel Band and financial prizes, according to President Mike Renier.

We’ll have a $150 gift basket to raffle away and also 50/50 cash raffles.

The dance is the 10th annual celebration. The Fourth of July Committee obviously plans festivities for Independence Day, but it has grown into a year-round organizer. The goal is to have an event every three to four months.

The Slick Nickel Band is known for 80’s dance music. If you can’t get enough hair bands, with just a little yacht rock to change the pace, South Range’s Valentine’s dance can scratch that itch. A cover charge of $5 is in place for those wishing to attend.
