MTU Hoops Hosts NMU
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams wrap up their regular seasons at Northern Michigan tonight.
Northern Michigan University has announced its 2015 football schedule. The Wildcats will play at Michigan Tech on September 26th at 7:00. See the full NMU schedule here.
NHL – Red Wings Visit San Jose
The Detroit Red Wings play at San Jose tonight. Face-off is at 10:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
NBA – Pistons Prepare for Knicks
The Detroit Pistons entertain the Knicks tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
Point guard John Lucas III will stay with the Pistons through the rest of the season. After working on back-to-back 10-day contracts, he signed an extended contract yesterday.
NFL – Packers Release Hawke; Lions Cut Bush
The Green Bay Packers have released linebacker A.J. Hawke. Hawke played nine seasons in Green Bay, and is the team’s all-time leading tackler.
The Detroit Lions have cut running back Reggie Bush. Bush was signed to a four-year contract two years ago. He missed much of last season because of injuries, and lost his starting job to Joique Bell. The move frees up 1.7-million dollars in salary cap space.
