Keweenaw Bay Indian Community gets new tribal president

Elections held last year contained some big surprises for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, and a new reorganization of the executive ranks of the tribe is helping to reveal their impact. Kim Klopstein was named the new president during a meeting held on January 8th. Susan LaFernier will be Vice President. The Executive Board is rounded out by Toni Minton as Secretary, Don Messer as Assistant Secretary, and Randall Haataja in the Treasurer position.

Other council members are Doreen Blaker, Robert Curtis, Jr., Eddy Edwards, Suzie Emblad, Liz Julio, Gary Loonsfoot, Jr., and Rodney Loonsfoot.
