Obituary: James Fredianelli

UPDATE: Interment will be in the columbarium at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12 noon with Rev. Father Jubish Joseph to officiate. The Copper Country Veterans Association will also conduct military honors.

James A. Fredianelli, 78, of Hancock, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at U.P. Health System-Marquette Hospital following a lingering illness.

He was born in Hancock on October 16, 1943 to the late Louis, Sr. and Adeline (Zabolocky) Fredianelli. He attended Hancock schools.

On January 23, 1965 he married the former Victoria DeCesare and they had one child, Lisa. He is survived by his wife, Victoria; his daughter, Lisa (Tim) McCormick; a granddaughter, Alicia; a brother, Louis (Roberta) Fredianelli, Jr., and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Anita Budweg.

James worked for the city of Hancock for 23 years. He enjoyed taking long walks and hiking on the Swedetown trails with his dog, Teri. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers fan, and a nature lover who enjoyed the outdoors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Reverend Father Jubish Joseph to officiate. Interment will be in the church columbarium. Friends may call at the church from 10 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. before the Mass on Monday.
