The week long celebration of engineers is underway at Michigan Tech.
National Engineers Week focuses on the positive contributions that engineers make to society.
Several events hosted by the Tau Beta Pi chapter and Alpha Society are taking place this week on Tech campus.
Students will get to view a demonstration on the making of a hydrocyclone this afternoon and then learn how to use a USB cord to electroplate copper at home.
Middle school girls from throughout the area will meet tomorrow to get hands on learning about engineering and science with Get WISE, an event aimed at inspiring young girls to pursue science and engineering.
The week concludes with a Hovercraft Build and Race on Wednesday.
