Calumet, Laurium and Keweenaw schools continue to be ranked among the best in the state. Bridge Magazine has named CLK Schools an Academic State Champion in its online school rankings. They were ranked #11 overall in the state and #1 in the Upper Peninsula. Over 500 districts and charter schools were ranked and the top 5 percent were recognized as academic champions. CLK Superintendent Darryl Pierce says the distinction allows people to know the quality of education that they provide for their students.
