Judith M Smith, age 79 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Bayside Village in L’Anse.
She was born August 4, 1942 in L’Anse, MI daughter of Hugo Albin and Mayme (Soine) Ryan. Judy was raised in Nisula and graduated from Baraga High School in 1960. She worked as a CNA at Winkler Nursing Home. Judy married Raymond Smith on November 9, 1974 and they made their home in Alston, MI. She was a member of Mission United Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her step sons, Paris Melford (Terry) Smith of Dayton, OH, Crandal (Virginia Rose) Smith of Ludington, MI; nieces Debra (Paul) James of Westland, MI, and Tammy (Alan) Kasten of Livonia, MI.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Ray; siblings Joyce Blalock, Alden Ryan; stepsons, Daniel and Delray Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 27th at 1:00 p.m. in the Nisula Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Ylitalo officiating. Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
