Lift Bridge Closings Scheduled

The next round of Lift Bridge closings has been scheduled. The bridge will be closed between 2:00 and 4:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings next week. The four two-hour closings will allow the contractor to lower some of the balance chains, as part of the bridge renovation. Additional two-hour closures will be scheduled at a later date.

The Yooper Loop was scheduled to be open this weekend for Winter Carnival, but officials later decided to keep it closed. However, all four lanes on the bridge will be open.
