The Pistons will have the first pick in this year’s NBA draft. At last night’s lottery drawing, Detroit was one of three teams with a 14 percent chance at claiming the top selection. It will be the first time since 1970 that the Pistons have gone first in the draft. That year, they chose future hall-of-famer Bob Lanier. The likely top selection this year is Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham. The Rockets will pick second, and the Cavaliers third.

Jake Rogers doubled and tripled, and drove in three runs. Tarik Skubal left as the Cardinals scored both of their runs in the fifth inning. Kyle Funkhauser got the win in relief.

That quick interleague series concludes this afternoon. Matt Manning will pitch against John Gant. Coverage will begin at 12:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers visit the Diamondbacks again this afternoon. Brandon Woodruff will start against Caleb Smith.

The knee problem that forced pitcher Brett Anderson from Monday’s game has landed him on the injured list. Milwaukee also sent reliever Hoby Milner down to Nashville yesterday, and brought up pitchers Ryan Weber and Miguel Sanchez. Outfielder Tyrone Taylor was activated from the injured list, and outfielder Derek Fisher was designated for assignment. Outfielder Jake Hager was claimed by the Seattle Mariners, after he was designated for assignment last week.
