Hancock celebrates honor students

Hancock Central High School celebrated its honor students Wednesday, May 19th. Principal Chris Salani was master of ceremonies and presided over the auditorium with great news. Twenty-nine seniors were awarded scholarships at the event totaling over $109,000.

That does not include the “Hancock Promise” award offered in conjunction with Finlandia University, which adds another $191,000 in aid. Hancock Central’s Class of 2021 consists of 48 members, with graduation set to take place this Saturday morning. Alumnus Shane Burcar, now the head coach of the Northern Arizona Men’s Basketball team, is giving the commencement speech.
