MTU Hoops at Hillsdale
Both Michigan Tech basketball teams play at Hillsdale College tonight.

Michigan Tech’s Tanner Kero is one of twenty college hockey players who have been selected as candidates for the 2014-15 Senior CLASS Award. The Hancock native is tied for the team lead with with 27 points. The CLASS Award is given to a hockey player who excels on the ice and in the classroom, and takes a leadership role in his community. The winner will be announced during the Frozen Four in April.

Both Northern Michigan University basketball teams play at Saginaw Valley State tonight.

NHL – Red Wings
After the All-Star break, the Red Wings will return to action Tuesday at Carolina. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

For the All-Star break, the Wings have sent rookie left wing Teemu Pulkkinen back to Grand Rapids. The move will allow Pulkkinen to play in the American Hockey League All-Star Game on Monday. Tomas Jurco’s back problems may have subsided enough that he can return from the disabled list next week. If not, Pulkkinen could be brought back up.

NBA – Pistons Defeat Magic
The Pistons built a big first-half lead, then hung on to defeat the Magic 128-118 last night.  Brandon Jennings had 24 points and a career-high 21 assists. Andre Drummond added 26 points and 16 rebounds. The Pistons have won 12 of their last 15 games, and play at Milwaukee Saturday night. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
