Members of the Muslim Student Association at Michigan Tech are raising money to place a memorial marker on the grave of Sanaz Nezami, an environmental engineering graduate student who was killed by her husband in December 2013. The fundraising effort was started by some of the nurses who treated Nezami. To get more information, or make an online contribution, click here. The goal is $5,000. If more than $5,000 is raised, the rest will be donated to a women’s shelter.
