Portage Health Foundation accepting recreation proposals

One-hundred-twenty-thousand dollars is up for grabs for nonprofit organizations and municipalities who need to upgrade recreational facilities. The Portage Health Foundation has upped the overall amount it is handing out and taken off the cap for any one project. Marketing Coordinator Michael Babcock says that will hopefully increase the scale of proposals. He envisions organizations using a grant award as a stepping stone into a larger funding package.

If you can put together a $40,000 proposal that’s gonna be matched by another $40,000 grant, that’s an $80,000 project happening in your community and that’s the kind of thing we would really love to see happen.

More information about the application process can be found here. Letters of inquiry are due February 12th, with the full application deadline falling on March 22nd.
