Hancock Council to Consider Rental Ordinance Changes Tonight

The Hancock City Council begins its new schedule of twice-monthly meetings tonight.

The council recently decided to expand the number of gatherings, in hopes of trimming back the length of the meetings, which have frequently stretched out to three hours or more.

Tonight’s agenda includes a public hearing regarding some changes to the new city rental ordinance. Those changes could be adopted this evening.

A 2.75 percent raise for staff members not represented by unions will also be considered, along with several commission appointments.

The meeting begins at 6:00 on ZOOM. Instructions for joining are posted on the city’s website.
