MTU Hockey Blanks UA-H – Sunday Sports Wrap

The Michigan Tech hockey team blanked Alabama-Huntsville 4-0 yesterday afternoon, in its first Western Collegiate Hockey Association conference game of the season. Blake Pietila made 18 saves. Brian Halonen, Trenton Bliss, Nick Nardella and Tyler Rockwell scored. The Huskies host the Chargers again this afternoon.

The Northern Michigan University hockey team gave up four goals in the first period, and fell 5-0 to fifth-ranked Minnesota State last evening. Connor Ryckman gave up the first three tallies in net, and was replaced by Nolan Kent. Those teams skate again this afternoon in Marquette.

Both the MTU and NMU Nordic ski teams are among those competing at the MTU Holiday Championships on the Tech Trails. You can see full results here.

The Detroit Lions wrap up their season at home against the Minnesota Vikings with a 1:00 game today on 99.3 The Lift.

The Green Bay Packers tune up for the playoffs with a 4:25 game against the Bears in Chicago.

The regular season ends tonight as the Philadelphia Eagles host Washington on 99.3 The Lift.
