Sharon Chopp, 81, a resident of Calumet went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Omega House in Houghton.
Sharon was born on April 29, 1939 in Calumet to Frank and Vernita (Blau) Klarich. She worked at Newberrys as a waitress, then worked as a clerk at numerous local grocery stores, and most recently worked as a custodian at CLK Schools.
Sharon loved to cook and bake; she enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and loved baking her famous homemade bread. She also enjoyed going to rummage sales and shopping at thrift stores. In her younger years, Sharon was an avid bingo player, loved reading a variety of books, including recipe books, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Sharon also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vernita Klarich; brothers Danny, Kenny, and Butch; grandson Jeffrey; son-in-law John Hrebec; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children: Joey (Tammy) Chopp of Lake Linden, Chris Hrebec of Calumet, Steve (Sandee) Chopp of Oregon, Patrick Chopp of Oregon, and Kathy (Jerry) LaBelle of Calumet
Her grandchildren: Jessica (Cham), Jennifer (Josh), Joey Jr., Stacy, Colton, Jared, Ethan, David, Bailey (Josh), and Sharla (Nick)
Her great grandchildren: Logan and Alli
Her siblings: David Klarich of Calumet, and Francy Carlson of Calumet
Good friends: Carol and Art
And several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Father Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 on Monday May 17, 2020 in Section S of the Lake View Cemetery with Deacon Art Stancher to officiate.
