Flags at Half Mast to Mourn COVID Victims

Flags at Michigan governmental facilities will fly at half staff for the next 10 days.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer gave the order to commemorate the more than 10,000 state residents who have died from the COVID-19 pandemic. One out of every 1,000 Michigan citizens has now died from the virus.

5,909 new diagnoses were recorded yesterday, along with 191 deaths – the second-highest daily death total since April.

Yesterday, Houghton County reported 18 new confirmed cases. Baraga County had nine, Keweenaw County had none, and Ontonagon County had three.
