Obituary: George Edward Cottenham

George Edward Cottenham, age 77 of Trout Creek, MI passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the Omega House in Houghton, MI.

He was born September 9, 1943 in Ontonagon, MI son of John and Helen (Bradberry) Cottenham. George graduated from Trout Creek High School in 1962. From 1962-65 George worked for Abbot Fox Lumber Co and Kimberly Clark, then for Celotex for 35 years, retiring in 2000.

George was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed mowing grass, waxing cars, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Surviving is his son Ronnie Cottenham of Iron River; brothers Joseph (Joanne) Cottenham of Bessemer, special niece and caregiver Phyllis Cottenham.

Preceding him in death are his parents; special companion Loretta; siblings, Ed Cottenham, Chester Cottenham, Jack Cottenham, June Dove, and Betty Moffitt.

A graveside service will take place in the spring in the Covington Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
