Was former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani COVID-19 positive and contagious when he appeared before a Michigan Senate committee last week?
The Trump Legal Team admitted last night that Giuliani is being treated for the coronavirus at Georgetown Medical Center.
Officials said that Giuliani tested negative twice “immediately preceding his trip to Arizona, Michigan, and Georgia.” They did not further define “immediately.” They say he did not begin experiencing symptoms until more than 48 hours after his return home.
COVID-19 can be transmitted by people well before they experience symptoms.
Giuliani refused to wear a mask at the Michigan committee hearing, and at several other appearances he made during his trip.
The Trump Legal Team statement said that “No legislators in any state or members of the press are on the contact tracing list, under current CDC guidelines.”
