Michigan White Supremacist Leaders Arrested – Were Targeting U.P.

Two leaders of a Michigan white supremacist group that allegedly wanted to set up a racist regime in the Upper Peninsula have been arrested.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says 25-year-old Justen Watkins of Bad Axe and 35-year-old Alfred Gorman of Taylor are leaders of a neo-Nazi organization called The Base.

The Base was headquartered at a small farm Watkins rented near Bad Axe. Investigators say it was developed as a “hate camp,” where members were trained to overthrow the government.

The group’s stated goal was to establish White ethnonationalist rule in areas of the U.S., including Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Among the allegations is that Watkins and Gorman shared the home address of the host of an Antifa-themed podcast on an online message board, and actually went to the house at night to menace the host.

They got the address wrong. The family that lives there called the police, but continues to receive threats.
