The recent increase in COVID-19 activity has prompted Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics to restrict visitors.
Effective immediately, no guests will be admitted to see most patients. Exceptions may be made for end of life care.
Other exceptions include…
• pediatric patients, who may be visited by one adult at a time;
• emergency rooms, where adult patients may have one support person over 18 years of age, and pediatric patients may be accompanied by one adult.
Some patients at outpatient clinics may be accompanied by a single guest, including those attending neonatal and cancer infusion appointments. Visitors may be screened for health issues, and required to wear masks, and observe social distancing rules.
The new restrictions take effect today only at Aspirus Iron River facilities.
