A Wisconsin man has been sentenced in federal court in Marquette for a sexual abuse incident involving a minor that occurred in Baraga County. 34-year-old Douglas Kugler, Jr. of Eagle River, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 71 months in federal prison for abusive sexual contact with a child under the age of twelve. He was also ordered to 20 years of supervised release following his prison term, and to pay a $100 special assessment. Kugler plead guilty August 13th after an incident that occurred at a residence on Keweenaw Bay Indian Community reservation land in Baraga County between September 2004 and May 2006 involving Kugler and a boy between the ages of four and five.
