Keweenaw Legion Riders Honor Viet Nam Vets

Keweenaw Legion Riders Director Caleb Thompson and his friend Terry Perault went for a ride out to White Pine, and had a chance encounter.

They ran into John Devitt, founder of the Moving Wall, a mobile replica  of the Viet Nam Combat Tribute Wall in Washington, DC.

Devitt, originally from Californnia, now calls White Pine home.

Thompson and his friend discussed having area Viet Nam vets come down to White Pine, to check the Moving Wall Out and Devitt agreed.

They then began contacting people, and the turnout was more than expected, and this past Saturday 44 bikes and 5 cars made the trip to White Pine, to see the Moving Wall.

The Moving Wall is funded solely by donations.

The Keweenaw Legion Riders would like to thank everyone involved with this weekend’s ride.
