Hancock’s Recreation Commission To Rename Hardball Field In Honor Of The Late Mervin Klemett

*UPDATE* The showing of “The Sandlot” Tonight at the outdoor cinema, has been cancelled due to high winds. 

Hancock’s Recreation Commission is hosting a ceremony tonight to rename the Hardball Field in honor of the late Mervin Klemett.

A plaque will be placed on the backstop and a new sign will honor his many years of playing, coaching, managing, umpiring and mentoring both young and old ball players.

Please join the family and friends of Mr. Klemett in celebrating this posthumous honor.

Cake will be served after the ceremony, and the city will show “The Sandlot” at the outdoor cinema, weather permitting.

The ceremony starts at 7:30p.
