Governor Whitmer Amends Executive Orders

Governor Whitmer has amended the MI Safe Start Executive Order and also issued revised workplace safeguards.

Beginning July 31st, indoor gatherings will be limited to 10 people or less, and bars will be closed for indoor service, throughout the state.

This from a press release earlier this evening.

Whitmer said a resurgence in cases, which some attribute to large social gatherings, was the reason we must take these strong steps to avoid a possible second wave of COVID-19, and that will hopefully better position us to open schools on time in the Fall.

Outdoor gatherings for most of the state, remain at 100 people, while they can accommodate up to 250 people, in the northern lower peninsula and Upper Peninsula.

Bars that earn more than 70% of gross receipts from alcohol sales, must again close for indoor service, statewide.
