On June 27th, the Portage Lake District Library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off.
Look for some interesting changes to this year’s program.

Read for Relief participants can earn prizes when they reach certain reading benchmarks, including a new book, and a $5 voucher to Houghton’s Farmer’s Market.
Kevin Store, Executive Director for Portage Health Foundation said they were happy to partner with the library on this initiative, as it addresses several of PHF’s long-term goals, including access to education, developing an appreciation towards philanthropy and providing financial support to organizations that serve the community.
The Read for Relief Summer Reading Program is free and open to everyone.
