Calumet to Welcome New Loader – Village Council Wrap

The village of Calumet is celebrating the delivery of its new loader.

The $65,000 piece of equipment was expected to arrive today. Seventy-five percent of the cost was covered by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Village manager Caleb Katz said that a new SnoGo unit that will be able to be mounted on the loader is due within a couple of weeks.

In other news from last night’s council meeting, the village is ready to proceed with renovation of the floor in the foyer of the village hall. Worn carpet will be removed, and the original tile and woodwork will be restored. The cost will be covered by a grant.
