Portage Lake District Library Enters Step Two

Curbside pickup of library materials starts today, as the Portage Lake District Library begins Step Two of their Four Step plan to return to normal.

Since the library was closed in March, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, no one was able to pick things up.

Patrons can now request library materials such as books and movies, and pick them up, with no-contact, curbside service, Monday through Friday from 10a-6p.

You can place holds on materials with your library card, calling the library, or even sending an email.

So far, you can only reserve materials available through the Portage Lake District Library, as lending between libraries in the U.P. has yet to resume.

Library staff will inform you when your stuff is ready, you notify the staff when you arrive, and they will bring your items out, for you to pick up.
