The man who was found guilty in a hit-and-run trial resulting in the death of a Big Bay woman will spend one year in jail. 46-year-old Michael Nelson was sentenced Monday in Marquette County Circuit Court. He is ordered to serve nine months in jail immediately. The final three months are suspended if he completes the terms of his probation. He was sentenced to serve two years on probation. In October, a jury found Nelson guilty in the death of 54-year-old Robin Rahoi. He hit her with his vehicle in December 2013 on Lighthouse Road in Big Bay.
