Governor Whitmer has signed an executive order, which allows laboratories to resume their research, under strict precautionary measures.
Whitmer said the reopening of laboratory research in Michigan marks another step toward getting Michiganders back to work.
Labs conducting research, not those conducting diagnostic work, must adhere to these rules, including assigning dedicated entry points and times into lab buildings, conducting screening protocols for anyone entering the building and suspending all non-essential workers from entering lab buildings.
Governor Whiter thanked Michiganders for doing their part to flatten the curve.
