The City of Houghton is accepting nominating petitions for their city council.
Petition packets are available at the City Clerk’s office, or you can call and have one mailed to you.
City Clerk Ann Vollrath explained requirements to run.
Petitions will be accepted until 5pm on August 4th.
The names of candidates who qualify, will then be placed on the November Ballot.
The top three finishers will then serve on Houghton’s City Council until November of 2024.
