Baraga County Fair Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Concerns

The Baraga County Fair has been cancelled, due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fair has relied heavily on donations and community support, since the state stopped funding county fairs back in 2010.

In a post from their Facebook page,  they have decided not to ask community members, who are struggling financially, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to donate this year.

They have asked residents to continue crafting, taking pictures and to keep the mud trucks tuned, for next year’s festival.

To date, the Baraga County Lake Trout Festival, the Aura Jamboree, Dam Jam, Bridgefest and the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival have also been cancelled, due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
