Face Masks From The Keweenaw Needs Your Help Reaching Goal

Face Masks from  the Keweenaw is a local volunteer group, currently making reusable cloth face masks for healthcare workers and those most at risk for COVID-19.

Mary Sue Hyslop, founder, said they started in Houghton and Keweenaw Counties, but are now also working with Baraga and Ontonagon counties as well.

Their goal is to produce 10,000 masks, and they’re close to the halfway point.

The group has also provided masks for the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department.

Hyslop also explained the work that has gone into the masks they’re producing.

They also took a break from traditional colors and made masks with superhero logos, Harry Potter and masks that feature sports teams.
