General Motors is recalling nearly 800,000 older model vehicles because of potentially deadly problems with the engines and airbags. There have been six front-seat fatalities reported as a result of airbags not deploying. The cars affected are 2005 to 2007 model year Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 compact cars. Additionally GM reports knowing about 17 other non-fatal injuries as a result of the airbag not deploying.
