31 Backpacks Helps Over 200 Students

31 Backpacks Founder Laurel Maki has some good news, in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak.

This past Tuesday,  Maki, along with board members Amy Zawada and Melissa Maki, and area volunteers, were able to assemble care packages for over 200 of the area’s less fortunate students.

Maki and her volunteers set up tables at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, then assembled the care packages, which included food and personal hygiene products.

What made the event even more special, was who showed up and personally delivered the care packages.

There is a drop box located at the Century 21 Offices in Houghton, if you’d like to donate to the cause.
