All K-12 Schools In Michigan Closed Until April 5th

All K-12 schools in Michigan are now closed until April 5th, in hopes of slowing the spread of the virus.

Governor Whitmer closed the schools in a press conference last week.

Some schools will be giving out homework assignments online, and some school districts are working on a plan to continue school meals.

During this time, the Hancock School District will begin extra cleaning and sanitizing efforts, along with installing additional hand sanitizer dispensers in school hallways, and detonating aerosols which will fog an entire classroom, disinfecting all surfaces.

The Middle and High School, along with Barkell Elementary, will be open from 9a-3pm, so students can pick up anything they need from their desks or lockers.
