Today is Michigan’s 2020 Presidential Primary Election. I stopped by the Polling Station on Gundlach Road, to get a feel for what’s bringing voters out to the polls today.
I spoke with Tim Scarlett of Houghton, and he was happy to get out and vote.
Houghton City Clerk Ann Vollrath had this to say.
Based on the 89% return rate from the absentee ballots, Vollrath expects a big turnout.
In addition to the presidential primary, several Copper Country townships have various millage proposals on the ballot as well.
Polls are open til 8pm, make sure your voice is heard, get out and vote, if you haven’t already.
