Michigan Monitoring 325 For Coronavirus

With new cases of the Coronavirus spreading, Michigan health officials have confirmed that 325 people in the state are being monitored for the virus.

The people being monitored are not in quarantine facilities, they are being asked to self-isolate at home, as they were considered low risk for contamination.

So far, screening processes have not identified any individuals in the state for being high risk.

The low risk individuals, who have returned from mainland China, over the last two weeks, have been asked to stay at home, and are contacted daily by local public health agencies for the remainder of the 14 day period, with symptom checks.

Most people identified, were through health screening checks or were passengers on cruise ships that had a confirmed case.

Five people in Michigan have been tested, and all five were negative.

Worldwide, there have been 76,000 cases, and over 2,000 deaths.
