Secretary Of State Wants State Holiday For Elections

If Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has her way, election days could become state holidays.

Benson has urged businesses to give their employees the day off on election days, giving them time to vote and even work at the polls.

Recently, Wayne State University announced they would be giving everyone, minus essential employees the day off on November 3rd.

There is a bill currently being reviewed, which would make election days in May, August and November state holidays.
