Coronavirus Still A Concern

Michigan Senator Gary Peters, is continuing his oversight efforts, to make sure the U.S. is prepared in case the coronavirus epidemic widens.

So far, the outbreak has affected over 60,000 worldwide, and left close to 2,000 people dead.

Peters recently held a round table discussion with public health officials as well as security leaders and infectious disease experts, to look over the federal government’s game plan to slow the spread of the deadly outbreak.

Peter’s was also briefed by White House officials on efforts to contain the disease.

While the suspected cases of the virus remain low in the United States, Peters remains vigilant in making sure the US is prepared to handle a pandemic.
